Question 1

Accepted Answer

Yes, the needle is designed to penetrate clothing. In an emergency, do not waste time removing clothes – inject straight through the fabric.

Accepted Answer

Go immediately to the nearest A&E. The finger may become pale, cold, and numb due to vasoconstriction. Medical assessment is essential.

How do I know if the dose was delivered?

Accepted Answer

After removal, the orange needle cover will be extended, and the window on the device will be obscured. This confirms the injection occurred.

Question 4

Can I reuse an EpiPen?

Accepted Answer

No, each EpiPen is for single use only. Even though some liquid remains, it cannot be reused. Dispose of it safely and use a new one if needed.

Question 5

How should I store EpiPen?

Accepted Answer

Store at room temperature (below 25°C) in the original carton to protect from light. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Check regularly that the liquid is clear and colourless.
