Question 1

Can I take tadalafil in the morning for sexual activity at night?

Accepted Answer

Yes, tadalafil's 36-hour duration makes this possible. Taking it in the morning ensures it's working by evening and remains effective through the night and next day if needed.

Question 2

How does food affect how long tadalafil takes to work?

Accepted Answer

High-fat meals delay absorption by about an hour but don't reduce overall effectiveness. For fastest onset, take on empty stomach 30+ minutes before activity.

Question 3

Why does tadalafil last 36 hours when others only last 4-6 hours?

Accepted Answer

Tadalafil is more fat-soluble, so it stores in body fat and releases slowly. It also has a longer half-life (17.5 hours vs 4 hours for sildenafil) and dissociates slowly from PDE5 enzymes.

Question 4

How long after taking tadalafil should I wait before taking another dose?

Accepted Answer

Wait at least 24 hours between as-needed doses. For daily dosing, take once every 24 hours at the same time. Never exceed one dose per day regardless of regimen.

Question 5

If tadalafil stays in my system for days, why does it only work for 36 hours?

Accepted Answer

Therapeutic levels in penile tissues decline faster than overall body elimination. While trace amounts remain for days, concentrations drop below effective levels for erections after 36 hours.
