Question 1

Can I take tadalafil after eating a heavy meal?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but a high-fat meal may delay absorption by about an hour. For predictable timing with as-needed dosing, take at least 60 minutes before activity if you've had a heavy meal.

Question 2

What should I do if I forget to take my daily tadalafil dose?

Accepted Answer

Take it as soon as you remember, but never take two doses in the same day. If it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule.

Question 3

Can I drink alcohol while taking tadalafil?

Accepted Answer

Moderate alcohol is generally acceptable, but excessive drinking (blood alcohol >0.08%) may increase dizziness and blood pressure drops. Limit alcohol to 1-2 units when using tadalafil.

Question 4

How soon after taking tadalafil can I engage in sexual activity?

Accepted Answer

You can engage in sexual activity as soon as you feel ready, typically 30-60 minutes after taking as-needed doses. With daily dosing, you're ready anytime as the medication is always in your system.

Question 5

Can I switch between daily and as-needed tadalafil dosing?

Accepted Answer

Only under medical supervision. Your doctor may adjust your regimen based on your response and sexual frequency. Never change your dosing schedule without consulting your doctor first.
