Question 1

What should I do if I miss a Kliofem tablet by more than 12 hours?

Accepted Answer

Skip the missed dose and take your next tablet at the usual time. Do not take a double dose. Missing doses may increase the chance of spotting or breakthrough bleeding.

Question 2

Can I take Kliofem with other medications?

Accepted Answer

Some medicines (e.g., epilepsy drugs, rifampicin, St John’s wort) can reduce Kliofem’s effectiveness. Always inform your doctor about all medicines, including herbal products, before starting.

Question 3

How long should I wait before starting Kliofem after a natural menopause?

Accepted Answer

You should be at least 12 months since your last natural period. If you have had a hysterectomy, timing is less strict; your doctor will guide you.

Question 4

Will I have periods while taking Kliofem?

Accepted Answer

Kliofem is a continuous combined HRT, so you should not have regular periods. Some women experience irregular bleeding or spotting, especially in the first 3–6 months. If it persists, see your doctor.

Question 5

Can I stop taking Kliofem suddenly?

Accepted Answer

You can stop at any time, but it’s best to discuss with your doctor first. Symptoms may return if you stop abruptly. Your doctor may advise tapering or switching to a lower dose.
