Question 1

What should I do if I forget to apply Sandrena?

Accepted Answer

Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose (within 12 hours), skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Never apply a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Question 2

Can I apply Sandrena to my arms or chest?

Accepted Answer

No. The recommended application sites are the lower abdomen (below the navel) or inner thighs. Avoid applying to the breasts, face, arms, or any area with broken skin, as absorption may be unpredictable.

Question 3

How long after applying Sandrena can I shower or swim?

Accepted Answer

Wait at least one hour after application before showering, bathing, swimming, or engaging in activities that cause heavy sweating. This allows the gel to be fully absorbed into the skin.

Question 4

Can Sandrena be used with other skin products like moisturiser?

Accepted Answer

Do not apply moisturiser, sunscreen, or other topical products to the same area immediately before or after applying Sandrena, as they may alter absorption. If you use other products, apply them to a different area of skin.

Question 5

Is it safe to use Sandrena if I have high blood pressure?

Accepted Answer

Yes, transdermal estradiol does not significantly affect blood pressure and is often preferred for women with hypertension. However, your blood pressure should be monitored regularly during HRT.
