What is Nasonex?

Nasonex Nasal Spray is a prescription medication containing the active substance mometasone furoate, presented as a nasal spray suspension. It belongs to a class of medicines called corticosteroids.

Mechanism of Action

1. Shake gently and remove dust cap
2. Blow nose gently to clear passages
3. Close one nostril with finger
4. Insert nozzle into other nostril, pointing slightly outward
5. Tilt head forward slightly
6. Begin breathing in gently through nose
7. Press down once firmly while continuing to breathe in
8. Breathe out through mouth
9. Repeat for second spray in same nostril if prescribed
10. Repeat for other nostril
11. Wipe nozzle with clean tissue and replace dust cap

Weekly Cleaning

1. Remove dust cap and gently pull off nozzle
2. Wash both parts in warm water
3. Rinse under running tap
4. Air dry in warm place
5. Reassemble and re-prime with 2 sprays
